We were lucky enough to have a visit from MP Anne Tolley to Newdicks beach. We showed her the important work we are carrying out there such as the effect of spinifex and pingao and how they help build the beach, and how invasive South African iceplant is which we are gradually replacing with our native iceplant, horokaka.
We are very grateful to Anne for taking the time to visit us and learn about the work we are doing here in Maketu.
