We had a visit from a group of students from Hawaii who came to New Zealand to do some environmental service. Their trip was organised through Rustic Pathways, a global teen adventure travel and community company which sends students all over the world on educational trips which benefit local communities.
They were amazingly enthusiastic, and kept themselves very busy weeding the dunes in Pukehina and picking up rubbish around Okurei, and got to learn about coastal conservation in New Zealand. Thanks for the awesome mahi guys!
